Getting started

What is the Libya Cloud Dashboard?

It is a control panel built on top of the Contabo API that lets you manage your cloud services, networking, object storage, and invoices from a single interface.

Do I need Contabo API credentials?

Yes. To manage your infrastructure you need to configure Contabo API credentials on the API Credentials page. These credentials are stored securely and are used by the dashboard to communicate with Contabo on your behalf.

Who is this dashboard intended for?

The dashboard is intended for Libya Cloud customers and internal operators who manage Contabo-based infrastructure, billing, and user access.

My Services and VPS management

What can I do with My Services?

You can list and inspect your services, view IP configuration, and trigger common power actions such as start, stop, restart, and shutdown, depending on your permissions.

Why don't I see all services?

Access to specific services may be restricted per user. If you are not staff or a superuser, you only see services that were explicitly granted to you by an administrator through the Users section.

Can I create new VPS services?

Yes. You can browse available VPS packages and create new services from the VPS section, if this capability has been enabled for your account.

Billing and invoices

Where can I find my invoices?

The Invoices section lists invoices associated with your user. You can view invoice details, related items, and instance-specific invoices when available.

Can I generate invoices for a specific instance?

If enabled for your account, you can create invoices linked to a specific instance from the instance details page.

Access and permissions

Who controls what I can see?

Instance-level access is managed by administrators in the Users section. They can grant or revoke your access to specific instances without changing your Contabo account directly.

What is the difference between staff and regular users?

Staff users can access advanced features such as the API Explorer and user access management. Regular users only see the resources and actions that were explicitly granted to them.
